So Much for the Spiderman Reboot

Apparently Marc Webb fails at being a director already. He decided to choose Lindsay Lohan as the new Mary Jane. I can only imagine who will play Peter Parker. Maybe it will be Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner or just throw in Justin Bieber (seriously hate that little dude and his high-pitched girly voice) just to piss me off. Maybe we can have a twisted romance with Gwen Stacy being played as Miley Cyrus. Seriously, this news has made me lose all faith in any reboots, possibly any superhero movies that contain superheroes I actually like. I really don't know what Webb was thinking considering this was what he had to say about it:

"Lindsay hasn't really been up to much in the past few years — even if you count the straight-to-DVD Labor Pains — but when I think Mary Jane Watson, Lindsay Lohan immediately comes to mind. Well, OK, maybe not the current version. But certainly the Mean Girls/Herbie version. She was available. She needs a reboot worse than this franchise. It just made sense."

Oh wait yes I do. He just picked her because he felt sorry for her sucking and being an alcoholic or something. I'm glad other directors don't just go with people because they're "available". I mean I'll give him the fact that Mean Girls was pretty funny, but I still can't see Cady Heron as being anything like Mary Jane unless he means when she was being a bitchy "plastic". We can only hope that this is a bad April Fools day joke.

Worse than Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern

Apparently there's some rumors going around that John Krasinski has been shortlisted as 1/7 actors to play Captain America. First of all, Captain America is a big muscley dude and and as Michael Scott so eloquently told Jim; "you’re 6”11 and you weigh 90lbs, Gumby has a better body than you". Also Captain America definitely falls short of the top of the snarkiness meter. I mean seriously, he has got to be one of the least witty superheroes in my opinion and I don't want to picture John Krasinski being that boring. It's actually a very similar situation to Ryan Reynolds playing the Green Lantern if you think about it, funny guy being a boring super hero (that's right I think the Green Lantern is boring...and a whiner!). I hope the directors realize that almost everyone that hears John Krasinski's name now, will probably automatically associate him as being Jim first. The movie Away We Go seemed to portray him as a goofy light-hearted guy as well. He's just not a good fit in my opinion, so I hope he turns the role down and leaves it up to the other 6 (Scott Porter, Mike Vogel, Michael Cassidy, Patrick Flueger, Chace Crawford, and Garret Hedlund) actors that Marvel wants to keep on hold for 30 days during the test process (it almost sounds like they're gonna be locked up lol).

An Italian Magazine wants Harry Potter to be Super Awkward

Shocked Harry PotterWhat is it with Europeans and making up weird rumors about movies that can't possibly be true? Anyway an Italian magazine spouted off some rumors about there being an "intimate" scene with Daniel Radcliffe being possibly naked in the Deathly Hallows movie. I'm pretty sure WB doesn't want to get in trouble with every parent (who's gonna let their kid go see the movie even though it might be rated R) by putting a possible sex scene in a movie about highschool-aged kids. I mean I know they think that darker stuff sells, but they're hopefully not that dumb. Anyway Daniel Radcliffe's representatives quickly squashed any rumors of Harry resembling Daniel's more naked self in Equus. When I first heard the rumor, I was trying to figure out how they could possibly put a weird scene with Harry and Ginny together in book 7, before I remembered that Ginny isn't really in the picture until the end of that book. Then I realized that it's supposed to be the scene with the locket Horcrux making images of Harry and Hermione that causes Ron to almost have a mental breakdown. If any piece of clothing was removed during that scene, I know I'd feel super awkward (even though I'm sure there's creepy internet fangirls that want to see it). I'm glad that the movie is trying to remain classy unlike the recent trend of supposedly "popular" book-based movies.

Warning, Incoming Game

Now if you don't know what this means, then I'm ashamed of you. Reboot was one of the best shows on Toonami from 1994-2001 (it's hard for me to believe that it was really on for 6 years) and was also made by Canadian company Mainframe Entertainment (makers of Beast Wars). All you DBZ fans don't come whining to me here about how it was so good because I will have no sympathy while shooting you down. ReBoot was a CG show about the characters inside a computer and what would happen to them when someone played a video game. The main characters were Bob (Guardian #452), Dot Matrix (who for some reason owns a diner inside the computer), Enzo Matrix (Dot's little brother) and his dog Frisket, Phong (the old philosophical advisor to Bob), AndrAIa (a game sprite that is later Enzo's gf), and Mouse (originally bad and then changes sides to help Dot and Enzo). The main bad guys are Megabyte and Hexadecimal who were as corny as 90's cartoons could make them. This trailer makes me remember how good and bad 90's cartoons could be at the same time. It makes me want to see if Netflix has Reboot on their "Watch it Instantly" list, even though I seriously doubt it.

Since the movie is still in production, there's not too much info I can get about it other than the fact that it's supposed to be a trilogy of films and that it's due to come out in 2010. Also if you want proof that this teaser isn't just a fan-made trailer to get people excited for no reason head over to Rainmaker's site.

Deadpool Will Have His Day, and His Yellow Bubbles!

Comic artist Rob Liefeld (the creator of Deadpool) recently posted on his twitter feed that the Deadpool movie is really going to happen. Ryan Reynolds is actually going to return, and this time the fans are getting what they want. Also Rob definitely said there is going to be 4th wall breakage (coining that phrase right now!), so I'm really excited that Wade Wilson will possibly be getting lippy with the audience. I hope they explain why he's Deadpool though and don't just start with him being Deadpool. I feel like a lot of people could be confused as all get out since a lot of them are just bandwagon hoppers (or fans of seeing Wolverine in tight jeans) anyway and I kind've want that :D. I also feel like it would definitely need to be an R-rated film (even though I'm sure dumb parents would still bring their little 8-year-olds because it's a superhero movie, what can it hurt?) if it were to truly envelope the essence that is Deadpool. I mean, he kills hookers for goodness sake!

Apparently Goyle wanted some attention

The actor who plays Goyle in the Harry Potter films, Joshua Herdman; spilled some news about the last 2 Harry Potter movies. He says that the first part of the Deathly Hallows will end right after Harry, Ron, and Hermione get caught by the snatchers after just being reunited with Ron. The second part is supposed to start off with them inside Malfoy Manor. The seems like a really good breaking point to me. It will be really suspenseful for the people who have no clue what's going on.

I must reiterate the fact that Dobby needs to be in this movie though. If not, then Harry and the whole gang shouldn't be able to escape from the Malfoy's. I really don't understand why they cut him from the 4th movie and had Neville give Harry the gillyweed instead. Were they really just being so lazy because they didn't want to c.g. another character into the movie? Also, Bill and Fleur need to get married because otherwise Harry and the rest of them will have no where to go to hide. But, I'm not really sure where they will have the wedding seeing as how the Weasley's house got burned down in the last movie. I'm interested to see how David Yates is going to fix what he screwed up.

Another thing that is interesting about the last 2 Harry Potter movies is going to be the lack of Crabbe, since his actor Jamie Waylett got arrested for possession of marijuana. This means that Crabbe will either be completely replaced by a different actor (which I highly doubt since they decided not to change anyone out for the last movies, despite their ages) or that Goyle will take his place in the room of requirement. I suppose they could just fill in with some random other Slytherin boy like how they replaced the Creevey brothers with that random Nigel kid.

Worse than Cher as Catwoman

I Promised Comic Con stuff but something more dire has come to my attention. British newspaper The Globe is trying to say that Miley Cyrus auditioned for Batgirl. I have to say that this is worse than the Cher rumors I mentioned awhile back. According to the British newspaper,(Wasn't it also a crazy British newspaper that announced the Cher news? Yes, yes it was.) Miley showed up in costume and “stunned” the producers by spouting out her self-written lines for the part. I highly doubt that anything coherent could come out of Miley Cyrus' mouth, much less Batgirl lines that would impress Christopher Nolan.
Also, we have to take into consideration that Christopher Nolan doesn't like Robin at all, so there's no reason for him to want a Batgirl unless they're pushing for some sex appeal(and please tell me nobody thinks Miley Cyrus is sexy *shudders*). Besides, if they wanted that then they could just add Catwoman(just not Cher!). Seeing as Gary Oldman announced at Comic Con that Batman 3 starts shooting next year, I'm betting this is just Miley Cyrus'(or probably her dad's) sad attempt at attention. Either that, or it's just another crazy British newspaper. Either way, enjoy this awesome Batgirl picture I found :D.

The Man Who Drowned in Titanic Might be Aquaman

If you haven't figured it out yet, Leonardo DiCaprio is producing Aquaman. Now this doesn't necessarily mean he will be the star, but I'm betting he will. He just doesn't seem to be the kind of guy that would let someone else star in his movie. I'm not really a big fan of Aquaman, so this news doesn't really hurt me. For the sake of the Aquaman fans out there though, I hope they do a good job with the movie. Also, I don't want to see a remake of the Aquaman movie 2 years after this one gets released.

I'll post some more news later about fun stuff revealed at comic con :D.

The Avatar Gang Looks Grumpy

This is the latest picture out for The Last Airbender and it's pretty cool to see a shot of different bending besides air. Admittedly it is kind of fuzzy, but you can definitely tell that Aang is in the top left and Katara and Sokka are in the bottom left. People are saying that the top right is Zuko, but it looks more like the fire lord to me. It seems much too tall and old to be Zuko. Also, there are rumors that the bottom right guy may be Bumi, but it looks more like Long Feng in my opinion. I mean he is bald, so that covers both of them, but he doesn't look like he'd be 112ish years old.

There's also some more pics of Zuko, Aang, Katara, and Sokka (sadly no Toph as of yet). As you can see from the pics, the Avatar gang is very emo indeed. It still makes me sad that Katara and Sokka are so very white. I'm ok with the people they chose to be Aang and Zuko though.

Sock Hits the Big Screen with Alan Tudyk

If you haven't seen Reaper, then you really should. Especially because the snotty CW thinks that it's too good for it and they're canceling it after it's 2nd season. I assume this is because it doesn't fit their normal standard of tv show since it isn't a drama or a "reality". In fact, it's a pretty hilarious show about some guys trying to return souls that have escaped hell since the main character's soul is owned by the devil. One of the main characters is Sock(Tyler Labine) and he's pretty hilarious as well. Anyways, this fall Tyler is costarring alongside Alan Tudyk in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. They are hillbillies that get accused of being psycho killers despite not being so. It's a comedy based on a horror, so hopefully it is the quality of something like Shaun of the Dead, as opposed to something like the Scary Movie series. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is coming out October 31st.

This Mad Hatter is Sure to Give Children Nightmares

So I mentioned before how much Johnny Depp loves his hats,(hats and eye makeup that is :) ) but this hat is sure to help him terrify children all over. This image is just one of the bunch from Alice in Wonderland that Disney recently released. The other pictures released are of the Red Queen (Bonham Carter), the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), Alice (Mia Wasikowska) next to a tea cup, and Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Matt Lucas), as well as some fun background shots.

Personally, I really like Bonham Carter as the Red Queen. She is definitely the best person to pull it off. I like how this picture of her makes her head look huge in comparison to her body. It makes the movie seem more cartoonish and fun instead of creepy lol. I also think the Tweedledee and Tweedledum are pretty hilarious. The White Queen is ok. I definitely like how they made her makeup and eyes stand out from the rest of her total whiteness. The sad thing about these pictures is that the picture of Alice is the most boring out of the bunch besides the background pictures. I guess Alice is probably the most boring character in the story :). Anyway, enjoy the fun pictures and remember that Alice in Wonderland comes out March 5, 2010.

Avatar Might Not Be Super Terrible...I Hope

I meant to post about this last week sometime, but seeing as how I've been helping out with roofing, it slipped my mind. By now I'm sure you've seen this first teaser trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender. From the looks of it, it seems like he might actually be able to pull off a good movie. It does slightly concern me that Aang's tattoo looks more like a bruise or some hair stubble, and that almost every main character (if not all) are white instead of their respective races. But, this trailer of Aang blowing out candles makes me think that if nothing else, the bending in this movie will look good. So if all us Avatar fans will just ignore what the characters are supposed to look like, we might be able to endure/enjoy this movie. I do hope that instead of the more serious nature that Shyamalan usually makes his characters, they will all be as sarcastic as in the show. Since, I'm pretty sure the sarcasm is half the reason that Avatar has as many fans as it does. It certainly won me over :).

Charming and Handsome, Cutting a Rug

So I didn't realize that a trailer had come out for the Princess and the Frog until Nettles told me about it sometime last week. I had planned on posting about it last week but I've been so tied up in school work that I didn't get a chance to. It's a pretty cute little trailer. I love the fact that the princess is totally snobby like I thought she'd be; and then immediately gets what was coming to her when she kisses the "prince". Anyway, I realized that the prince looks a lot like the Dimitri from Anastasia (which reminds me that I haven't seen that movie in forever and of how good it was despite the crazy parts). Also, the huge alligator reminds me so much of the alligator from Peter Pan. I like the creepy witch-doctor, since he's a pretty crazy looking bad guy.

I'd like to say again that I'm glad that Disney is going back to classical animation since they were pretty good at it. Whatever "genius" told them that they should give it up after the terrible Home on the Range movie should be fired.

Little Potato Sack People Make Me Happy

The new full-length trailer for 9 came out on Thursday and it's pretty cool. It shows the old man creating the little potato sack people and shows why he decided to create them. Apparently he only had enough energy to make 9 of them, so that's how many there are. Anyway that crazy dinosaur/cat machine is just one of the many machines that went crazy and decided to kill off the human race. That's why it's after all the little potato sacks. The rest of the trailer is pretty much a montage showing which potato sack is which number, as well as them fighting back against the dino-cat and other funky machines.

Here's a list of what each number is :D
1: The old priestly looking one.
2: What I assume to be the smart scientist guy.
3 & 4: I dunno how to describe them, other than the fact that they have super cute little hoods on.
5: This guy has a grapple gun and he seems like he's a decent fighter.
6: Looks pretty dull at first, but then for some reason has blue/green rays shoot out of his eyes.
7: This girl makes 5 look weak since she has a bird's skull helmet and a polearm.
8: This guy is the biggest of all the potato sacs and probably why the old man gave out after 9. He has a really big blade and a drain for a mask.
9: This guy is supposedly gonna protect the future, unless the old man meant all 9 of them when he said it. Other than that the only difference between him and the others is his zipper down his front.

Aang is a Tiny Little Bald Kid with Huge Ears...Like He Should be

Apparently M. Night Shyamalan does in fact fear the fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender. I say this because the new pictures from the live-action Avatar movie were just released on Thursday. Aang definitely resembles his cartoon self (see look at him to the right...he totally does!) and so does Zuko, at least mostly. I can't really tell from the picture whether or not Zuko has a scar; which means his scar isn't ugly enough to be truly Zuko's. I guess this picture could be pre-scar Zuko, but then I would think he'd have his ponytail. I mean for goodness sake. Everyone knows that no audience could possibly figure out that Zuko's personality had changed without having him grow out his hair into a shaggy emo mop. Anyway, both of these guys look mostly like their characters should, but Aang needs to be cracking a grin or something. I mean honestly, how often does he really have that straight of a face in the show?

I hope this movie isn't as bad as some of M. Night Shyamalan's other movies. The Lady in the Water and Signs were 2 of the worst movies I've ever seen. I mean what kind of dignified mermaidy lady would live in a crappy apartment's pool? Also, the aliens in Signs were some of the least scary things ever. I guess The Village was kind of spooky, but not really that thrilling. So, I'll be interested to see whether or not he can pull of a movie that should be filled with action. I definitely hope it portrays the characters as being as sassy as the cartoon made them too.

Donald Faison Should Keep His Day Job

So normally I wouldn't care that much about Star Wars or Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but this clip of Donald Faison is hilarious. Turns out he's obsessed with The Empire Strikes back. He also loves Lando Calrissian (I'm sure he was super pumped when Billy Dee made an appearance on Scrubs) and wants to star as Lando in a movie he titles The Chronicles of Lando Calrissian. He was saying that he would just either wear a wig or be Lando before he decided to grow out his hair into a sweet fro. In fact, Donald was so pumped about the idea that he made a Lego stop-motion clip of what would happen with him being Lando. Donald even added his own sound effects to the movie. The interview is pretty hilarious and I think Donald Faison would be a really funny Lando. I do doubt that George Lucas would let him be Lando and that is sad. Watch the clip of the interview below and don't be freaked out that it starts and ends in the middle of the movie.

Megatron Never Ever Dies....Ever

Ok, so if you didn't realize that placing the All Spark inside of Megatron's chest wouldn't kill him and in fact would make him come back terribly more powerful once he "woke" back up, then you obviously don't know Transformers. It's happened again and again. In Beast Wars episode "Master Blaster" Megatron absorbs the original Megatron's spark and then is dropped into lava. Then he comes out in his new red dragon form and is even stronger. That situation was much worse than getting dropped into the ocean like he did in the movie. Anyways, the reason I mention all of this is because if you check out 2:22 in this new Transformers trailer you'll see what looks suspiciously like Megatron's face. He also has the exact same clawy hands. There's another shot of what I think is Megatron at 1:21 in the 2nd trailer (the official trailer :D) and if him zooming out of the ocean isn't enough proof for you, then I don't know what is. Oh yeah and at 1:36 in the 2nd trailer, Shia directly says that Megatron wants what's in his mind which means that it must be official now.

Both the unofficial and official trailers are really cool and they both show how mean Shia is. Seriously, why won't he take Bumblebee with him to college? Does he not want an amazing car there or is Bumblebee just too embarrassing? If I had a Transformer buddy I'd totally take him/her to college with me. It would be awesome. Also, I find it kind of funny that the official trailer mentions how Megan isn't at college with Shia, hinting at the fact that she's just a dumb bimbo. Oh yeah and Shia starts tripping out in the official trailer as well and starts seeing crazy symbols. That's pretty funny if you ask me.

The reason why I always watches the credits after a movie

So by now everyone should know of the Wolverine:X-men Origins movie being placed on the internet for everyone to pirate. Fox recently made a very bad decision regarding their misfortune, but now it seems like they're making up for it. Depending on where you see the movie, there's going to be different endings hidden after the credits. I personally love little endings after movies, especially when tons of people leave before it happens. This should also make the dvd a definite buy when it comes out considering that it will have all the alternate endings (or at least I would hope so). I hope one of the alternate endings includes some fun Deadpool action. I could really care less about knowing more about Wolverine's past.

The alternate endings aren't the only fun thing that I found out about the movie either. Apparently Ryan Reynolds did all of his own sword stunts. It's always cool when an actor steps up, instead of letting the film editors CGI it. I'm sure it will add a level of awesomeness to the movie and show people that have no clue who Deadpool is, how great he really is. I'm definitely excited about him going all crazy on people with 2 katanas at once. The only bad thing about Ryan doing his own stunts was the fact that he almost dis"membered" himself. Way to almost take one for the team Ryan :D. I'm glad that he didn't hurt himself, because he'll need to be in tip-top shape for his Deadpool movie.

The Inferi will eat your soul....no wait that's Dementors

Ok so this is the 3rd (I think) trailer of Harry Potter that's been released and it confirms my suspicions that it's going to be freaking awesome. I can't believe how well that it looks like it's following the book. I also wouldn't be surprised if it was 3.5 hours long or even longer :D. It starts out with Dumbledore and Harry outside Riddle's cave and then it shows scenes from inside. The inferi definitely look amazing. There's also cute Ginny-Harry loving (of course the fangirls need to have something to be jealous of) and some gross Ron-Lavender snogging with a side of Hermione being super pissed off at Ron. I also think I saw a scene from Harry's death since he's at King's Cross and Dumbledore is standing there too (around halfway through the movie since I there's no timestamps on the widget :(). I'm also very impressed that they included the cursed necklace scene with Katie Bell and she really does look possessed when she flies up into the air. There is also an amazing scene of the students standing in front of the school raising their wands to fight back.

There's an odd spot with like a ring of fire, which I initially thought was from Dumbledore fighting the Inferi. But, somebody is running through it in their pajamas and yelling "Ginny" or at least I think so. I can't quite figure out what scene that's going to be. If you guys have any ideas be sure to post it in the comments :D. There's some cool Harry fighting Malfoy scenes, and also a Malfoy whining at having to kill Dumbledore scene and of course Harry screaming at Snape to "Fight back" because all of us who actually read the books know that SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE lol.

Anyways like I said originally, the trailer looks amazing and I hope the rest of the movie is as good as the trailer makes it look. Also this movie makes me have high hopes for the 2 7th book movies. Things that I didn't see in the trailer include Kreature being "helpful" to Harry and it looks like this will actually be in the movie according to this. I also hope that Dobby is actually in this movie since they completely cut him out of the 4th one. Bill needs to get attacked by Fenrir Greyback in this movie even though it kind've sucks for him. Fleur should hopefully be in this movie as well, at least at the end nursing Bill's wounds if nothing else. I really want to see Fleur standing up to Mrs. Weasley and gaining her respect because I think it's a cute scene. I realize that the Harry Potter movies like to just cut off at the end without really giving you the end conversations so it's possible that they will do it again. I really just hope they don't have a line like in the 4th movie when Hermione said "Everything's going to change now isn't it?" because that would make me want to gag.

Also this is the nifty cd that I just started listening too, so I posted the little siggy of the song. You should listen to it on youtube or something because it's really fun.

I thought Fox couldn't be any stupider

I really didn't think Fox could mess up this badly again so soon after their incident with Warner Bros. Fox News columnist Roger Friedman downloaded Wolverine X-men Origins and posted a review of it on the Fox News site. This is after Fox warned people not to download the movie and even tried to get the authorities involved in trying to stop the distributors of the film.

Even after Roger was caught, Fox still didn't immediately fire him. First they pretended to fire him. Then said that they were going to allow him to plead his case, even though it was clear that he illegally downloaded their own film and placed a review online, most likely helping to cut the movie's box office revenue. I mean just look at this quote from Roger's review of the movie; "I did see Wolverine on a large, wide computer screen, and not in a movie theater, but it could not have played better." That's enough proof for me to want to fire someone. But no, Fox delayed it and finally when they met with Roger this is what they had to say; "Fox News representatives and Roger Friedman met today and mutually agreed to part ways immediately." I'm pretty sure they didn't part ways "mutually" especially considering the fact that Roger told Variety that he hadn't been fired after Fox's initial statement that they had fired him. I personally love this quote from Variety's article, "After Friedman's positive "Wolverine" review hit the Web, the fanboy blogging community, which had largely called for a boycott of any reviews of the film, immediately lobbied for Friedman's dismissal," since it shows just how much devotion comic book fans have. I've also been ignoring reviews and links to download the movie that pop up while I surf the web and I'll definitely go see the movie when it comes out in theaters.
