So here's yet another Harry Potter trailer and it looks like the Half-Blood Prince movie may actually follow the plot of the book. Maybe David Yates has run out of creative thinking or maybe he just realized that the reason people like the books is because the story is good and he shouldn't keep messing with it :-P . Anyway the trailer looks very promising and it shows a lot of Harry and Dumbledore on their excursions (which I would hope it would considering that's what mainly happened in the book, even though in the 3rd movie the Firebolt didn't even show up until the end and there was no winning the Quidditch Cup). Just their apparition alone is very cool looking. The trailer also gives a better introduction to Horace Slughorn for those people that are too lazy to read the books still. It also looks like the part where Ron eats the cupcakes filled with love potion will be hilarious. Harry-"Alright fine you're in love with her, have you ever actually met her?," Ron-"No.....could you introduce me?" Who wouldn't laugh at Ron being all crazy pants for some random girl that he doesn't even know? It also looks like they're actually going to have Ron get poisoned from drinking Slughorn's wine too. It's so impressive that Yates managed to use a whole scene from the book without changing it lol.
Anyways, I'm also really excited about getting to see the memories of Dumbledore meeting Riddle and the ministry man meeting Marvolo Gaunt (at least I hope this memory is in the movie). We also get to see some Quidditch action again and it looks like we'll actually get to see Ron doing a good job as the Keeper. Another interesting thing in the trailer are Luna's fun Specter Specs. They're really fun and glowy. We also see Hermione wearing something strange in the movie and she looks like she's about to cry so I'm not sure if that's Ron-Lavender drama or what's going on there. There's also sudo Harry and Ginny smooching in this trailer which I'm sure will make all the fan girls either happy or extremely jealous (even though it's of a fictional character *sigh*). The last things we see are Harry yelling at Snape (the Half-Blood Prince himself) and telling him to "fight back you coward" as well as a bridge being ripped to pieces (which I'm guessing is the one that Muggle Engineers would freaking out about in the book). This trailer looks like the movie is definitely going to be amazing. I'll just say it again, I'm proud of David Yates for leaving good things alone!

So I played the Mirror's Edge demo on the Xbox 360 the other day and it's pretty great. I'd like to start by saying that every Spiderman game ever made should just look at how this game works and realize they fail at life. At least from what I've seen of them, most have a lot of fighting on the street and not so much roof hopping or web slinging. Anyway, so the Mirror's Edge demo starts out with some roof hopping training with you playing as Faith (the Asian girl who's the main character) and you follow around another girl called Celeste. You and Celeste are both runners who run around avoiding the cops and deliver packages to different parts of the city. I'm pretty sure the packages are of a serious nature seeing as how in the end of the demo cops are chasing you and trying to gun you down. Also, I'm not sure whether you're stealing these packages are merely delivering them from secret agency to secret agency.
The basic controls of the game are pretty strange compared to normal controls but it makes sense as you get into the game. For instance, to jump you push the Left Bumper vs. the usual A button but it works well when you want to use the Left Trigger to crouch down in order to roll or slide under beams when you land. The Left Stick controls which direction you run and you use the Right Stick later on to balance when you're walking across beams. I kinda suck at the balancing part seeing as how I died like 3 times each time it came to that (By the way if you don't like the sounds of someone falling to their death, you might not want to play this game. You make a lovely squish/crunching noise when you hit the ground haha). A lot of the action involves running and jumping of course but it's not all straight forward. You can run straight at a wall in order to run on the wall, which lets you get a better angle to jump up higher (that and it's really cool to run on walls, I mean come on who wouldn't want to do that?). You can also shimmy up polls and slide down ziplines by jumping onto them.
This game isn't all running away and no action though. In the demo cops start shooting at you for no reason, which makes you wonder what your job is really about. Anyway, when the cops (or anyone shooting at you) show up you can disarm them by hitting your Y button and steal their gun. You have to hit Y at just the right time though, otherwise you fail to steal it from them. If you really suck at disarming people you can slow down time for a few seconds (and go all Matrix style on people) using the X button. This is really cool and I'm kind of wondering whether or not it will be unlimited in the final version of the game or whether it needs to be charged up. It seems like it'd be a little overpowered if you could use it whenever you wanted.
Anyway this game is really fun and you should definitely try to play the demo if you can. It seems like it will have a lot of playability as long as the levels don't get ridiculously complex and annoying.

There's a rumor going around that Isabel Lucas (who's playing a girl named Alice in the next Transformers movie) is going to be a Pretender. As much as that might seem initially cool, it'll just turn Transformers into another Terminator movie (we don't need any more Terminator stuff seeing as how there's a new movie coming out in 2009 and the Sarah Connor Chronicles is already on Fox.) That and the fact that Isabel is supposed to have "an arm that transforms into an energy weapon, a long tongue, and a scanning tenticle"-TFW2005 means that something slutty between her and Megan Fox is probably going to happen *shudder*.
I also think it's so stupid to have the Transformers be so big and then have Pretenders, which are obviously as small an anorexic girl :P . The only reason I could possibly think of for having a Transformer that small would be to make them a spy. I'd still think that a Pretender would be incredibly weak against the normal Transformers though. It's doubtful that the whole spy factor would be worth the risk of getting totally owned by the other Transformers. There would definitely have to be multiple Pretenders to make them even the slightest bit useful. Another thing, wouldn't Sam and Mikaela notice that Alice doesn't eat food or that she had a huge tongue? I mean I understand that they're not that bright, but still. Those kinds of things are pretty hard to miss.
Hopefully this rumor isn't true. Hopefully this picture is just some of the footage from the new Terminator movie. That would make the most sense. Either that or Michael Bay is being really dumb.
