Sock Hits the Big Screen with Alan Tudyk

If you haven't seen Reaper, then you really should. Especially because the snotty CW thinks that it's too good for it and they're canceling it after it's 2nd season. I assume this is because it doesn't fit their normal standard of tv show since it isn't a drama or a "reality". In fact, it's a pretty hilarious show about some guys trying to return souls that have escaped hell since the main character's soul is owned by the devil. One of the main characters is Sock(Tyler Labine) and he's pretty hilarious as well. Anyways, this fall Tyler is costarring alongside Alan Tudyk in Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. They are hillbillies that get accused of being psycho killers despite not being so. It's a comedy based on a horror, so hopefully it is the quality of something like Shaun of the Dead, as opposed to something like the Scary Movie series. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is coming out October 31st.

Hah, did you see who else is in it? The guy from Firefly/Knight's Tale/Apparently now Dollhouse (which I refuse to watch because that whore is in it). Anyhow, as to your question about how horrible it will be, here's a quote from mtv.com:

"How bloody? the Calgary Herald reports one person dies every eight minutes of the film, and the film’s unofficial tagline is “A perfect love story, except for the minor woodchipper incident.” If you figure that “Tucker and Dale” trots out with a 90 minute runtime, that’s a body count of 11 1/4. The fraction must be where that woodchipper comes in."

Hm, as amused as I was by Shaun of the Dead I'm not sure I want to see more of those types of movies, contrary to the fact that they do tend to be hilarious, however I'm easily scarred, so we'll see.
